The Area's Largest Health, Fitness, Nutrition and Green Living Event

The area's largest event focused on health, fitness, nutrition and living green is coming to the Chattanooga Convention Center October 1 & 2, 2010. The Healthy Living Expo offers interactive, educational exhibits, demonstrations and presentations. Each year, Expo producers work to find new ideas, products and information. Over 100 exhibitors fill more than 250 exhibit booths. The Expo continues to grow each year from its Knoxville launch in 2005, with the six-year attendance topping 46,000.

Senior Day

Healthy Living Expo will present Senior Day on Friday October 1, 2010 with FREE ADMISSION FOR SENIORS. Programming on all the stages and activity areas will be focused on seniors from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entertainment such as Senior Bingo and Tai Chi create a funfilled yet informative activities for seniors and their caregivers.

CIGNA Employer Edge Program

A successful outreach program to the area’s largest employers is the Employer Edge program sponsored by CIGNA that offers bulk admission to employees of participating companies to promote learning more about a healthier lifestyle. Over the past six years we have reached thousands of employees by providing sponsored tickets to several hundred large employers in the region. This very successful program will also be implemented in the Chattanooga region working with local government and the Chamber of Commerce.

Prizes, Prizes, Prizes and Fun Activities

Returning Expo favorites include the Eat Right Stage, Fit Family Area, Get Active Stage and Start Walking Track. The areas feature activities and speakers offering healthy living tools, tips and techniques with prize drawings after every activity. Expo visitors have access to FREE health checks and can participate in fitness activities. The Fit Family Area presents exhibits with information for today’s families.

Bi-Lo Thrive! Eat Right Stage

On the Eat Right Cooking stage, local chefs, dietitians and nutritionists will demonstrate how to prepare healthy meals and offer samples of featured dishes. Bi-Lo and other area food companies will be offering healthy samples both days!

Get Active Stage

The Get Active Stage showcases fitness through movement. Demonstrations range from dance, karate and gymnastics to Pilates, kickboxing, yoga, offering entertaining and effective fitness options.

Start Walking Track

The Start Walking Track surrounds the exhibit floor allowing visitors the chance to participate in scheduled walks for prizes and to support local charities.

Check Your Health

Because monitoring your health is an important part of a healthy lifestyle, the Healthy Living Expo includes more than a dozen FREE health checks, typically including dietary and nutritional evaluations, bone and muscle screenings, blood typing, blood pressure checks, cardiovascular screenings and hearing tests. Other special screenings and vaccines will be offered at reduced Expo prices.

Encouraging Fitness in The Fitness Pavilion

Fitness takes center stage at the Expo. At The RUSH Fitness pavilion, visitors can try fitness challenges, exercise classes and more. Trained fitness instructors will be on hand to provide custom fitness assessments and help attendees get their personal fitness programs back on track.
